April 16, 2008

Oklahoma City – Daniel J. Biby has been re-elected president of the FBI InfraGard Oklahoma chapter, the 6th largest in the country. Biby is president and CEO of Biby Associates, one of the largest emergency preparedness firms in the state. He is a published author and considered an expert in domestic and international terrorism.

Established by the FBI’s Cleveland Field Office in August of 1996, the InfraGard program now boasts 86 chapters nation-wide and has proven to be a successful, collaborative effort between the FBI and the owners and operators of critical infrastructures. The focus is upon gathering and sharing credible information concerning terrorist plans and activities.

Critical infrastructures are defined as those physical and cyber-based systems essential to the minimum operations of the economy and government. They include, but are not limited to, food and agriculture, banking and finance, emergency services, energy, telecommunications, transportation, and water systems.

Biby’s company, founded in 1988, focuses on protecting critical infrastructures by developing business continuity programs for public- and private-sector organizations nationwide.
